A good line of Angus/Brangus x weaner heifers. 6 - 12 months, 144 to 260 kgs to average 205 kgs after a 17 hour dry curfew. These heifers are very quiet to handle both in the yards and paddock. A few heifers were bred from composite cows that could have some Hereford genetics. Up until the past week, the season at Heywood has been very dry. Some of these heifers were weaned early. They are all in store condition, the tail including anything smaller and or backward store conditioned heifers were put in the separate lighter mixed sex line. One heifer with a light smokey eye, not a problem. They are all clean around the head and although in store condition they should grow out to feeder weights or future breeders on good feed over time. (see two separate videos). I have no hesitation recommending these weaners heifers to someone wanting heifers to put away. NB: See two other lots of vendor bred weaners in this sale.
