Temperament is a very high priority of the Scott family, both in their stud & commercial herd. All heifers were very very quiet whilst coming through the race, just a couple doing a little bit of stomping and tail flicking on the scales (though they were only preg tested the day prior, and this was their 2nd time through the race in 24 hours) A pleasure to handle in the yards, quiet when let out in to the paddock for photos, Lovely heifers, a credit to the vendor.

Assessor Comments
Very nice line of EU Accredited Angus heifers offered on A/c of Scotts Angus. Est in 1956, the Scott family have been producing quality Angus cattle for 70 years this year! With an overall key focus on temperament, structural soundness & sustainable growth, and continuing to progress maternal attributes, particularly calving ease & milk. These are lovely quiet females with a soft, roomy, easy doing style about them, originally drafted off as part of the keeper mob for joining. Young heifers that have been doing it very tough over the last 6 months, running on bare, empty paddocks, living off silage & a mineral diet. Given the circumstances, they unfortunately failed to conceive from an A.I course and a 6 week joining. Therefore presenting the successful purchaser to opportunity to drop them into a late Spring/Autumn calving program. A lovely line of genetically impressive young heifers surrounded by opportunity.
