Paddock
Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Steers were very quick to handle in the forcing yards and the bigger yards instigated by some ring leaders, as such are mainly defined as stirry and slightly stirry. Also ran through the round yard/race quite rapidly although most did stand up on the scales in a quiet fashion. They also need to be steadied through gateways. The vendor stated they are good to handle on a quad bike in the paddock. There were however no steers in the lot that could be considered aggressive. Need more handling.

Assessor Comments
An opportunity presents for a backgrounder to purchase F1 Wagyu steers out of well-bred Angus and Angus cross cows. Steers would be ideal for a backgrounding operation to grow out to suitable feeder weight and would go ahead given the opportunity especially on crop or improved pastures. These were weighed after a 20-hour dry curfew. BUYERS PLEASE NOTE: Vendor has an additional lot of heifers also in the sale to make a neat 2 decks.
