Steers were good to handle in the yards. All brought up from the back yard by a single handler, led up the race, and were good to walk on to the scales. Majority (30+) were very quiet in the scales, until being caught in the headbail to be mouthed, which then upset quite a few, as reflected in the above numbers. After being released, most were happy to just walk back to their brothers. All were quiet to walk out in to the holding yard for photos and follow around with the camera.

Big, long, raw, store bullocks, just the way to buy them! Steers that have not been spoilt, getting shifted about on to spare bits of land whilst the crops have been prioritised. Carrying pure Te Mania blood, bred for growth, structure & carcass qualities, being mainly the 400/600DW & IMF traits. Steers that would be a very financially rewarding article to buy and kick away in no time on some decent Spring pastures.
