Steers have been very well weaned in the last 8 days prior to assessment. Vendor has quietened these cattle right down since being weaned off their mothers and were a pleasure to handle in the yards. Steers were calmly weighed and split off the heifer portion with minimal fuss with only the odd steer becoming slightly agitated.

Assessor Comments
On offer is a very good quality line of 46 weaned Angus steers that are 9-10 months of age. They were weighed between 302-397kgs with one standout steer at 424kgs, this was close to the entire drop of steer calves less a small tail which is testament to their breeding. Steers began the yard weaning process on the 26/11 and have responded very well. They have an up to date health status and still present fresh, with plenty of shape and confirmation. Cattle have returned to pastures up until delivery. Steers are by high indexing Bongongo Bulls and out of medium to large framed cows. This is the annual sale of vendors weaners just bought forward a few months due to the season. Also on offer is the heifer portion of the drop in todays sale. For any further information please call.
