Steers handled well at assessment. The yard setup consisted of large yards with limited drafting options and as a result the steers had a little run in them. Nothing aggressive in any way and in a better set up wouldn’t have been able to move as freely in big open yard spaces. Once in the force the steers were put up the race and crush with no issues and when confined in the crush were relatively calm whilst being weighed. Overall the cattle were quiet and content when back with the mob.

On offer is a quality line of 49 Angus steers bred on “Kimo”. These cattle are showing very good length and capacity being 12-14 months of age. The Kimo herd is made up of predominantly Connamara and Scott’s Angus bloodlines, in which these steers are out of some very well bred large framed cows. Currently averaging 386kgs LW these steers are almost all cleaned up in the coat and are on the do, but I believe would perform especially well with a drench and 5in1 before being put out as they have had no treatments since weaning. Cattle present with a top and a tail removed. Steers with good genetic merit to them and will perform given the opportunity. For any further information please call assessor.
