The Herd is run in large contemporary ages groups and are in a program of minimal handling. The weaners were quiet and easy to manage through the yards with the odd one slightly agitated when under pressure. As a whole the calves were a pleasure to handle as they had undergone a structure yard weaning process.

Assessor Comments
This group represents a draft of TG Bullen Nominee's Steer Weaners that are principally heifers first calves. Nicely bred cattle which present in strong store to forward store condition. They present with ample bone and depth, genuine calves that are well weaned and with management and feed will bound ahead in any program. These calves are resilient and have been running over dry light country, principally supplementary fed with hay to form the basis of their diet. They are ideal calves to purchase as they are all bone and frame, with a reputation for being hardy I am confident they will perform. All are strong and healthy showing the signs of coming into winter with extra coat and hair. *Note very odd minor incident of ringworm was noticed within the calves at assessment ( which the vendor treated with cooking oil ) and a few calves were noted with old pinkeye scares from weaning ( deemed not detrimental to the beast ).
