STEERS ARE RESPONSIVE TO BEING MOVED, WHEN THEY GO TO A GATE THEY ALL TEND TO WANT TO RACE TO GET THERE, NOT AGGRESSIVE CATTLE, THEY DO HAVE A BLOCK ON THEM BUT WHEN THEY GET A HEAD OF STEAM UP THEY TEND TO GO AS ONE NOT INDIVIDUALLY. THEY HAVE DEFINETLY GOTTEN BETTER TO HANDLE THE MORE TIMES THEY HAVE COME THROUGH THE YARDS OVER THE LAST 30 DAYS.

THE FIRST OFFERING OF THE YURRAMIE 2024 DROP WEANER STEERS. WEANED ONTO PASTURE PADDOCKS LATE FEBRUARY THEY WERE THEN DRAFTED INTO SUITABLE MOBS EARLY MAY TO GO ONTO RYE GRASS PADDOCKS. THIS DRAFT OF STEERS ACHIEVED 1.2KG A DAY WEIGHT GAIN ON THE RYE GRASS TO GET THEM TO 340 AVERAGE MID JUNE. OVER THE 25 DAYS (AT ASSESSMENT) THESE STEERS HAVE BEEN FED THE RATION THEY HAVE ACHIEVED A VERY POSITIVE WEIGHT GAIN OF CLOSE TO 2KG A DAY GETTING THEM TO THE CURFEWED WEIGHT OF 393KG. STEERS ARE MODERATE OF FRAME AND READY TO HANG THE REST OF THE WEIGHT ON THESE ARE BEING OFFERED TO MAKE ROOM FOR THE NEXT CUT OF STEERS COMING THROUGH. STEERS WILL BE DELIVERED TO BRAIDWOOD SALEYARDS TO MAKE IT SUITABLE TO WORK WITH B DOUBLES.
