Assessor Comments
On offer is 2 drafts of Angus weaner steers bred by the Sheridan Family, These steers have been bred from a medium to large framed Barwidgee Angus based cow herd using selected high indexing sires, They have endured a cold wet winter running only on short improved pastures with no access to hay or silage, They present as well grown steers in true store condition, These steers have a strong performance reputation and with the oncoming spring and plenty of compensatory growth in them and given their known past performance these steers have the ability bred in them to achieve very strong daily weight gain figures given more favorable grazing and seasonal conditions (prospective buyers should note that a sample of last years steers Ave 1.4kg per daily weight gain in a grass fed only environment and the sisters of these steers currently achieving a daily weight gain of 1.5kg on a oat/ryecorn crop)
