Assessor Comments
A good to very good quality line of weaned steers. They are a soft British/Euro/Bos Indicus crossbred that will suit a range of domestic and export feeder markets. They are medium to mostly large frame and have the hybrid vigour to take through to export feeder weights and beyond. At assessment 30 head were under 320 kg full weight with the balance suitable to take directly onto feed. They were weaned at assessment onto good quality ad-lib oaten hay and will remain in the yards until delivery. Two steers noted with slight blue eye scarring in one eye. They were good to handle though the crush and around the yards and will continue to be handled during the weaning period. They have not had grain or cotton seed and are eligible for pasture fed programs. These are very growthy cattle that will continue to move ahead given good feed.
