STEERS WERE GOOD TO HANDLE IN PADDOCK AND YARD WITH AN ODD ANIMAL A LITTLE STIRRY UNDER PRESSURE. SOME WERE A BIT FLIGHTY IN CRUSH BUT IT WAS FIRST TIME THROUGH THIS PARTICULAR YARD FOR THE 45 PURCHASED STEERS SO EXPECT THEY WOULD BE BETTER THE NEXT TIME AROUND.

MAJORITY OF LOT WAS PURCHASED IN DECEMBER FROM REPUTABLE BREEDER NEAR WILLIAMSTOWN SA IN DEC WITH THE BALANCE BEING SOME VENDOR BRED STEERS TO MAKE UP A GOOD 2 DECK LINE. CATTLE IN GOOD STORE CONDITION WITHOUT CARRYING MUCH FAT SO THEY PRESENT AN IDEAL OPPORTUNITY TO FEED ON. STEERS SHOWING GOOD GROWTH FOR AGE, BONE AND FRAME TO ALLOW SCOPE TO CARRY ON TO HEAVIER WEIGHTS.
