Best described as Composite due to the variety of breeds in the cows and the multiple breeds of bulls used over them. Note the grey steers are definitely not Murray Greys. Please see photos and video.

Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Steers were very quiet to handle in the yards and on the scales in an average set of yards. Most steers did react a bit to being caught in the head bale whilst being tagged with their NLIS device. This behavior is not unusual. They just need to be steadied up a bit going through gateways but that is normal practice. Temperament is not an issue here.

Assessor Comments
A double deck lot of steers best described as Composites due to the mix of breeds involved in the vendor’s breeding program, both cows and bulls (see stock history comments and photos/video). They mainly show British bred traits. These will suit to add a bit more weight for the export or domestic feeder markets. I did note two steers that show a bit of pizzle but don’t really show any other dominant male characteristics so they could just have been cut a little bit later (definitely not stags though). Most of these should zoom ahead pretty well on crop, improved pastures or winter herbages. Please note the delivery of Monday 27th or Tuesday 28th March only.
