Steers were generally very good to handle in the yards and through the crush. Four head would not settle fully in the crush or exited quickly. All settled once back in the yard except two steers who would rush when moving from one side of the yard to other. Fine when not under pressure and nothing aggressive noted. Steers all walked out calmly and were quiet when let out into holding yard

Assessor Comments
A good to very good quality line of vendor bred Angus EU accredited steers. With medium to large frame they suit to background to heavy Angus export feeder weights or alternatively to take directly onto feed for the domestic feeder market. They are also Grasslands accredited and would suit most grassfed programs (have had access to cottonseed). They are Jan - Feb 2024 drop steers which are now moving ahead on fresh spring feed and have the capacity for good compensatory growth given continuing good feed. Two steers noted with a mild blue spot on one eye and five noted with warts on face - not considered detrimental. Three noted with small white marks around cod and underline. They have had 5 in 1 with a booster at weaning and have received their first dose of Bovilis MH+IBR in June. (Exp & Batch details available upon request). Please note another line of lighter AA steers available in same sale to fill B Double truck if required.
