These heifers were a pleasure to handle right throughout the drafting, weighing & photography process. Heifers were drafted in a round yard 3 ways before being assessed. A small portion became agitated in crush as expected due to not being through set up since animal health treatments. Dellawong yards can create added pressure on cattle due to the force yard but heifers maintained steadiness.

Assessor Comments
Genuine line of 8-10 months of age VENDOR BRED, ONE MARK , NSM, PURE BRED Angus heifers presenting in strong store condition. These quality heifers have over 60 years of bloodlines behind them ( Milla Murrah, Kidman, Gilmandyke, Tulagy & Curracabark) which are usually retained for the Poole family breeding program. 116 Angus heifers were drafted into 2 weight categories 151-260kg & older lot being 260-345kg with a 10% tail removed. The Dellawong program has always been heavily sought after by numerous feedlots & breeding programs. Note a portion of heifers display some slight rub marks suggesting minor lice which is common for this time of year & 2% of heifers displayed old blue scarring in one eye which both were deemed non detrimental. RARE OPPORTUNITY NOT TO BE MISSED to purchase a quality line of straight angus heifers, as 'young females are the future of the cattle industry.'
