Temperament not assessed in Paddock
These heifers were a pleasure to handle in all areas of the yards. This is a result of being handled properly at weaning and the general management of the entire herd. Only the very odd heifer could be considered slightly stirry in the crush only.

Assessor Comments
A very good quality line of 208 young Angus future breeders bred out of some top quality classed herds of females. They are starting to clean up in the coat and demonstrate good weight for age considering the dry conditions, depth of barrel and length and have presented in store to forward store condition. These tick all the boxes depending which enterprise you need them for. Suit to replenish depleted breeder herds for a continuation in the Angus industry or very suitable for a Wagyu program. It must be noted heifers the same age but slightly heavier at 389kgs that were sold last year fetched in a range $2,720 to $2,760. In the total line noticed about 7 head with very light wart near the eyes, no issues here (photo attached of the worst one). Also 3 head with signs of blight in one eye (treated with Orbenin) and about 2 heifers with old blue eye scarring. Will be delivered as a "run of the gate" into even lines if multiple buyers purchase these heifers.

Grazing Conditions
Heifers have been running on dry pasture up until 6 days prior to assessment. For the past 6 days they have been fed a silage ration in a feedlot pen next to the yards.
Returned to: Will remain on a silage ration in a feedlot pen until delivery.
Vendor Comments
The mothers of these heifers are very fertile and since purchase we have averaged 98% conception rates each year. This is a forced sale due to the dry conditions, they would have been retained as replacement breeders.
