Assessor Comments
A good to very good quality line of weaned heifers. They are soft British/Euro/Bos Indicus crossbred heifers that will suit a range of flatback markets. The heifers are HGP free and have not had access to grain or cotton seed and are eligible for pasture fed markets. August, September, October and early November 2022 drop calves. Heifers were yard weaned in July on good quality oaten hay and moved to oats paddock after a week, they will remain on oats until delivery. Two heifers noted with slight blue eye scarring in one eye, not seen as detrimental. Heifers were preg tested after assesment on 30th of August and all needled with Ovuprost, certificate available. 40% of the line are medium framed with the remainder large framed heifers. These are very growthy cattle that will continue to move ahead given good feed.
