Assessor Comments
A good to very good quality line of weaned heifers. They are a soft British/Euro/Bos Indicus crossbred that will suit a range of heavy domestic feeder and slaughter markets. The heifers are HGP free and have not had access to grain or cotton seed and are eligible for pasture fed markets. No heifers are being retained and the top 60% would suit to take and join and would make excellent quality future breeders. They were weaned at assessment onto good quality ad-lib oaten hay and will remain in the yards until delivery. They were good to handle though the crush and around the yards and will continue to be handled during the weaning period. Two heifers noted with slight blue eye scarring in one eye. These are very growthy cattle that will continue to move ahead given good feed.
