Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Steers flowed very well through the yards and into the race and crush. Once in the crush the odd steers became agitated due to portable weigh platform and noisy portable yards. Then once let into a bigger yard for photos the steers became very placid and quiet.

Assessor Comments
A line of 61 feeder steers in forward store to forward condition, purchased out of Northern Victoria and Southern NSW. These steers are performing exceptionally well, currently gaining an average of 1.2 kg/day on an oats crop. They were initially supplemented with Woods Grains starter pellets and, over the past three weeks, have been transitioned onto a DGB pellet fed via a paddock feeder to help extend the oats. All steers are true-to-type, pure Southern-bred Angus cattle. They exhibit excellent frame and stretch, with the potential to grow out into quality bullocks. These steers still have plenty of growth ahead and are well-suited for either domestic or export feeding programs.
