Temperament not assessed in Paddock
The steers were very good to handle in and through the yards and were nice and settled for the photos. In the race and crush they were generally very quiet bordering on docile. Six head classed as slightly stirry were either mildly agitated in the lead up to the crush or would not settle completely on the weigh platform. These all settled quickly once back in the mob.

Assessor Comments
A line of 22% fair, 57% good and 12% very good quality trade steers. They are 100% LT and were either purchased from Glen Innes via A+ or the Tamworth yards over the past 3 - 6 months. They were assessed as 9% small frame, 39% medium and 52% larger frame steers. 61 of the 63 were mouthed at assessment with 47 (75%) being milk tooth (three showing wear) and 14 head being two tooth steers with three of those just breaking their first permanent tooth. They suit to background to heavy domestic or light export feeder weights and then crop of grain finish. Alternatively they could be taken directly onto feed with the heavier end suitable for a 70 day program and the lighter end to be fed longer. One steer was noted with a moderate blue eye spot in one eye and two steers with a slight blue eye spot in one eye. The steers have not done much over winter but in the past three weeks have started to move ahead nicely and are generally soft in the coat and primed to move forward on good feed.
