The heifers were generally good to handle in the yards and when approached calmly worked and stood for the photos and videos. In the race and crush they ranged from quiet through to 19 head who were agitated in the crush and 6 head who were highly agitated in and exiting the crush. Nothing aggressive but the stirry and slightly stirry heifers would not settle on the weigh platflorm. This was their second time through the race after being preg tested in the morning and this may have contributed.

A good to very good quality line of vendor bred EU Accredited yearling heifers. With medium to large frame they suit to take directly onto feed for the domestic supermarket trade. They are also grass fed market eligible and suit to grass finish for high quality MSA markets. These heifers have been on oats since June and have done very well. No replacment heifers were retained this year and approx 50% would be make very good future breeders. They are NSM and for potential buyers were vet preg tested at assessment as 100% NDP. No active pink eye was seen at assessment but the cattle will be checked prior to delivery. Three heifers with slight blue eye spot in one eye. One heifer noted with slight warts on ear. Please note 10 EU domestic weight steers LWR 355 - 387 kg - avg 367 kg) are available post sale by negotiation if required to help fill a B Double.
