These steers were a easy to work with when drafting and weighing. The odd steer was a little stirry with close contact but then no problems in bigger yard. This is due to being located on a block where there is little handling and no human contact for 3-4 weeks at a time.

Assessor Comments
An opportunity to purchase 72 Injemira-blood Poll Hereford steers. These steers have had a slower start to life, as they are usually sold each year in January and consistently average over 400kg at assessment. They carry terrific genetic strength and plenty of frame, which will result in excellent weight gains moving forward, either on feed or pasture given the opportunity. The Woodhouse family purchases only top-quality bulls from Injemira Poll Herefords. This line of backgrounder steers range between 257–390kg, averaging 325kg empty at assessment. Tail removed, Also offered in this sale are 41 Poll Hereford heifers from the same property. Please note: 6 steers have old pink-eye scarring, which will not impact anything going forward.
