The steers flowed well through the yards. A % were inclined to rush through the gateways. A few of the steers became agitated and stirred in the race and crush while mouthing but generally were good to handle. The the majority settled quickly once released with a small % taking a little longer to relax.

Buyers, a good quality run of vendor bred angus steers. Showing good bone and growth for age. These steers are ideal to background for premium domestic or export markets. At assessment there were only 4 hd < 280 and 4 hd > 400. They have been introduced to a feed bin in the paddock and are currently receiving a grain supplement. We mouthed the first 10 steers and then the heaviest in the balance and all were milk teeth. Steers are fresh in the coat and ready to go ahead. Steers were yarded approx 2 hours prior to assessment and had access to hay and water. Noted a small number of plainer bodied steers. There are 2 white faced steers and 1 x white under belly. 6 steers were noticed with minor pink eye scarring in one eye, not considered detrimental. Please view photos and videos
