Assessor Comments
An excellent line of 146 steers split over two lines of 73 run out the gate averaging 285 kg empty. These steers were purchased through AuctionsPlus early this year from reputable local herds with very good Angus genetics consisting of Banquet, Ballangeich and Claremont blood. These steers are very even in line and are carrying the frame of a 400 kg steer but unfortunately due to the season haven't had a decent run at it. If shown feed these steers will explode with quick compensatory weight gain achievable. These steers were a pleasure to handle when being assessed with vendor using low stress handling techniques including dogs and on foot paddock rotations.
