The slightly stirry heifers in the crush did not settle while being weighed, most walked away from the crush, some did run but settled once in the mob. The heifers moved freely in the yards & would require more handling to change behavior.

Buyers a line of EU Angus heifers that would suit a backgrounder to take through to trade or heavy feeder weights, could also be used as breeder replacements. Of the heifers handled there were 7 with a slight blue eye or blight scarring in 1 eye only & 1 heifer with slight blue in both eyes & showed no vision impairment at assessment. There was 1 with ringworm scarring, 2 with warts around the eye & neck & 2 with lumps on the neck consistent with an injection site. Of the heifers assessed 8 had white on the udder & 5 showing red in the coat & 2 with rub marks on the tail. Vendor has 68 EU steers same sale.
