These steers handled exceptionally well through pound, race and weigh box. I witnessed vendor walking them in on a bike while being assisted by 3 sheep dogs. These steers are naturally quiet, they’ve been tailed out, paddocked and handled well throughout yards.

Backgrounders here is a line of HGP free, weaned, paddocked steers with a great depth of breeding, frame, and handling. These young cattle are highly commended by past buyers from Wandoan, Chinchilla and St George districts. These steers are ready to grow out to Bullocks and or great Heavy feeders.
These steers are bred in Mulga country with some grasses in good seasons like this one, and once depastured onto good grass country they’ll perform very well as they’re bred to do.
This vendor puts emphasis on quality, type and importantly Temperament.
I highly recommend this line of backgrounder steers.
