In general calves handle well in the yards due to inability of time they are not handled a lot and are run in larger mobs but we ran steers through the race twice and no doubt the more handling done the easier it was to work with the mob. Some steers showed a bit of run separated but once back in the mob they were unoticable.

Assessor Comments
A line Angus Steers that are well and truly just about to start to hit their straps. An incredible harsh last 10-12 months this area has had. Due to this, we have probably seen the livestock struggle to do the minimum, but the tables have turned and these calves need to make way for the upcoming fodder harvest. There is probably a spread of 6 months of age over the line. Calves present in forward store to store condition and are starting to lose their winter coats and freshen up. There is the odd late marked steer that is still dropping his tool out of his sheath. Steers have all been treated with piliguard there is the odd steer with a pink eye scarring or shadow, deemed not detrimental in my opinion.
