Assessor Comments
Offering a b-double load of Angus X Angus feeder steers. They are the ideal age, displaying good bone and maturity with no fat cover and are prime for feedlot entry. They have been sitting idol running on old rough phalaris pastures and offer immediate compensatory weight gain. They were specifically bought in to grow out to feeder weights and with agistment coming up short and no quality feed on offer they are now for sale. 100% weighed from 410-507kg at assessment after a 6 hr curfew to average an estimated 423kg at delivery with the majority falling in a tight weight group at the lower end. These steers were last drenched and vaccinated in early 2023 and would benefit from re treatment in my opinion. 100% antibiotic free and grass fed eligible. Odd steer with ring worm/worts typical of winter conditions and not detrimental. A decent line of straight bred Angus steers with breeding behind them and weighed into feedlot weight preferences. Quiet steers that should take to feed quickly.
