Temperament not assessed in Paddock
The heifers were good to very good handle in the yards and through the race and crush. Eleven head became slightly agitated in the crush but settled quickly in the yard. In the yards four heifers had some slight movement in them but the vast majority where very settled. The extra handling from the feeding has made them a pleasure to work and move in and through the yards.

Assessor Comments
A good to very good quality line of vendor bred heifers. With medium to large frame they suit to background to the heavy end of domestic feeder weights and then crop of grain finish for a range of high quality markets. No heifers are being retained and the top 50% of these heifers would be suitable to grow out as very good quality future breeders. The heifers are a mix of Ultrablack and Charalois crosses and had a LWR of 214 kg to 371 kg full weight. The heifers have been on grain pellets and hay feeders since weaning. The heifers have had access to several small weaner bulls post weaning and they have all been injected with Ovuprost to terminate any pregnancies. No active pink eye was noted but the yards and surrounds were dusty and cattle will be rechecked prior to delivery. They are located right on the Leichhardt Hwy between The Gums and Moonie and would work in with trucks moving north and south. Please note nominated delivery days to allow redrafting prior to delivery.
