Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Steers were generally good to handle in and through the yards and stood quietly while being photographed. In the crush, 8 steers became slightly agitated and 3 steers highly agitated while being weighed. This was a combination of pushing through into the crush and then not fully coming to a standstill in the crush. Nothing aggressive noted as all - just not fully settled in the crush. All settled when back in the yard together and remained quiet while being photographed.

Assessor Comments
A good to mostly very good quality line of vendor bred Angus steers. The steers were assessed as 57% large framed, with the remainder medium framed. They have had their first shot of Bovilis MH + IBR in early Sept 2025 and vaccination details are avail on request. They suit to take to heavy export feeder weights or alternatively they could be taken directly onto feed for the high end of the domestic supermarket trade. Steers were yard weaned in May onto a mixture of hay, cotton seed, molasses & grain and have been grazing oats since June with supplementary access to good quality Oaten hay. Three steers showed some slight blue eye scarring in one eye and one steer with small number warts on face and neck. They by quality Hazeldean and Lawsons Angus bulls with a focus on selecting above breed average 600 Day and IMF EBV's. One steer treated for pink eye -not in sale line - all other will be checked before delivery. Located 5km south of Moonie, yards 500m in off the Leichhardt Highway.
