Heifers were all a pleasure to handle in the yards. Brought up from the back yards by a single lady handler with no hassles, self fed up the race without the need to close the slide gate, and all exited the crush at a walk. Just a small number of heifers that were a bit anxious on the scales, doing a bit of stomping and pushing, listed above as slightly stirry. Very quiet & sensible to approach on foot once they were let out into the smaller paddock for photos

Assessor Comments
The Nankervis family are 5th generation Upper Murray cattlemen, producing beef stock since 1860. This is the first time offering their tightly held genetics for sale. Usually being joined, or value added on farm & grown out as grass finished cattle & sold direct, where they receive a premium given their reputation for carcass performance, namely marbling. The Nankervis herd regularly produces high MSA scoring cattle making them one of JBS’ top 20 preferred supplies in Southeastern Australia. This line of females are in the ideal condition to buy, appreciate some early compensatory weight gain, and put a bull over them in the Spring. A perfect opportunity to secure a large line of herd improving genetics, and fast track an IMF upgrade! Please Note. Due to ongoing feeding/dusty conditions, a % of heifers were noted with an eye blemish.
