Generally very good to handle in the race and rush. 15 head were slightly agitated in and exiting the crush (just would not settle) and one steer was highly agitated in the crush. They all settled quickly and were very good to handle in the yards. They are trained to bunks, hay racks and electric fences.

A good to very good quality line of EU accredited weaner steers. With good bone and conformation these medium to large frame steers suit to take and background for domestic and export feeder markets. They have traditionally been taken through to feeder weights off oats but the season means they will be sold as weaners. They are sired by good quality Texas Angus bulls or good quality Weebollabolla Shorthorn bulls. No active pink eye was noted at assessment and weaners will be rechecked prior to loading. Two steers noted with slight blue eye scaring in one eye. One steer (a later calf was marked several weeks ago and is healing well. These steers had a LWR of 164 - 337 kg after being in the yards overnight prior to assessing. Very good quality steers that will continue to move forward and which suit a range of high quality markets.
