Generally, these steers are very good to handle as they have been hand feed for the pass 3 months. One steer was a bit fast through the yards though once the pressure was off him he was fine.

80 EU angus steers all weighed between 195kg & 286kg full to average 227kg full. Aug / Sep drop 2023. PCAS eligible, Grass fed only, Antibiotic free and Vendor Bred. Landfall, Weeran & Te Mania genetics, selecting for IMF (3.8 plus), growth, structure and overall balance. 1 steer had some white on its belly. Given the emphasis on IMF in bull selection I would suggest the steers would marble very well given time. The steers were weaned in March and have been hand fed since, they are receiving a combined 8kg of hay/silage a day however it is only maintaining them. In the last week some ringworm is starting to appear on some faces, I believe this will go with improved nutrition. They are normally sold at 380-450kg in summer however it's been decided to sell them now given the seasonal conditions. They are in store condition though still fit and will put cover on given feed. A tail of 45 has been removed. Well bred steers.
