Buyers these steers were a pleasure to draft and assess. They were good and quiet to handle considering only being yard weaned before assessment. A small % got unsettled in the crush whilst being pre treated which is to be expected for fresh weaners and a small handful were quicker in the pound. I have full confidence these steers will be good to educate and will settle nicely. Please refer to my videos of the steers in the yards after assessment.

Buyers please consider this vendor bred, PCAS eligible line of 80 (2 decks) lightweight flatback steers. Weighing from 193 - 332 kgs to average 238 kgs full at assessment or 226 kgs at delivery. These steers have been pre treated for ticks with both Dectomax Injectable & Icon pour on to assist buyers in tick free areas. Being weaned and sold earlier then usual due to seasonal conditions. The Saunders Family cattle of "Medway Park" have a strong reputation for their performance and i have full confidence these steers will grow out to reach heavy feeders or bullocks. Please refer to my photos and videos for further description of these steers. Small handful of steers showing higher content in their cross. PCAS eligible. These steers have had 9 days yard weaning prior to assessment on good hay, remaining yard weaned until delivery. A quiet tidy line of well bred steers ready to power ahead. Vendor guarantees steers clear of tick at the nearest clearing facility for tick free buyers. No visible sign of adult tick or seed tick at assessment.

Out of a very good quality herd of Droughtmaster, Charbray & Brahman x females and sired by Medway Droughtmaster sires and Karragarra Simmental sires.
Grazing Conditions
"Medway Park" has fertile creek flats of Buffel and blue grasses which then rises to ironbark ridge country with Buffel, spear grass and other natives. The country is dry and the season is deteriorating quickly hence these steers being weaned early.
Returned to: These steers had been weaned off the cow and in the yards for 9 days by the time of assessment, will remain in the yards on good hay until delivery.
