Cattle were very good to handle in and through the yards. They were very settled in the yards and flowed easily from one yard to the next. Five steers were moderately agitated leading upto, in or exiting the crush. The balance were calm in the race and crush. All settled quickly when back in the bigger yard with the main mob.

Assessor Comments
A good to very good quality line of vendor bred EU Angus steers. They are medium to large frame and suit to background to domestic feeder weights and then onto heavier export weights. The steers are EU accredited and are Grain and antibiotic free and would be eligible for a pasture finished programs. Cressaire has an extended but not continuous calving and has multiple paddock based weanings each year. As a consequence there is a slightly extended age and weight range in this line (8-14 months) with a LWR 237 - 368 kg full weight. The steers are sired by a mix of good quality stud bulls from Te Mania, Dance and Mooroobie Angus. Three steers noted with mild to moderate blue eye spots in one eye - not considered at a level to affect future feeder markets. Two steers noted with rub marks on brisket and neck. In general these are very good quality Angus steer yearlings in store condition that will go ahead quickly with access to good feed.
