Generally good to handle in the yards and through the crush. Just five head didnt fully settle in the crush during assessing and/or exited hastily. The heifer noted as stirry was highly agiated leading upto and in the crush but she was not noticeable in the yards. All settled quickly and were nice a quiet in the yards for photos. Cattle are handled in paddock and yards using Low Stress Stock Handling techniques.

Assessor Comments
A good to very good quality line of predominantly vendor bred Angus and Angus x heifers. With medium to large frames the heifers suit to take directly onto feed for the domestic supermarket trade or grass and crop finish. They also suit to join with the top 50% as very good future breeders. They had a LWR of 301kg to 446kg which was classed as a full weight eventhough they were mustered off oats at 5pm the evening before and then held in a good grass/clover paddock overnight. The vender bred heifers were bred on the family's property north of Dalby and non vender bred heifers purchased as calves at foot. They are 100% LT. They have been rotated through good quality improved pastures and now on oats for the last 12 weeks. They have not had access to any bulls and were vet preg tested at assessment as 100% NDP. They are mostly Angus x Angus heifers with the Angus cross heifers showing either some white on the underline or a little navel. Please note trucking notice required.
