Very good to handle in the race and rush. One steer was slightly agitated in and exiting the crush (just would not settle). They all settled quickly and were very good to handle in the yards. They have had extensive handling in and through the yards and have been tailed out onto the road. They are trained to bunks, hay racks, self feeders and electric fences.

Assessor Comments
A good to very good quality line of EU accredited weaner steers. They are mostly medium to large frame and suit to take and background to domestic and then export feeder weights. They were assessed as 6% fair, 45% good and 49% very good with the fair quality steers just showing a little less muscling and freshness. A tail under 180 kg was removed at assessment. They are sired by good quality Texas Angus or Weebollabolla Shorthorn bulls with approx 20% of the Angus steers from PTIC Angus cows purchased last year with Millah Murrah, Te Mania and Waitara Angus bloodlines. Steers with active pink eye were removed at assessment and weaners will be rechecked prior to loading. The temperament of these steers is a feature and they have had extensive handling in and through the yards. They are trained to bunks, hay racks, self feeders and electric fences. These would normally be taken through to feeder weights and are for sale due to the season. Note 2 decks of Angus steers to make 4 decks.
