Stock drafted prior to weighing & work steadily through pound & moved up along crush to scales and head bale showing no temperament issues. About 5 head showed fizzy in crush, moved off swiftly, settled in main mob quickly. Cattle have been worked through yards numerously and showed no bad traits.

Vendor bred composite type steers, average full weight of 290kgs, a range of 226-320kgs (top weight of 320kgs was the cut off with heavier weights in another assessment). All castrated with elastrator bands, no vaccines and no recent internal or external parasite treatments. Vendor has a self-replacing herd with homebred bulls the main sires used in a herd of bos indicus infused breeder cows with some British bred types. These steers have seen good seasons since being dropped as calves and weaned onto tail end oats crop last year. Note odd blue eye old blight no issues. 22 head still have no horn tipping done. At weighing a few inferior types have been drafted off prior to weighing and photographing. No faults observed and majority of steers show good body type development. Majority of cattle are flat back type with approx. 5 head showing some hump. 1 steer noticed with warts around eye & face, and some steers show buffalo fly irritation on neck & around eyes.
