84 vendor bred (B double load) Angus steers all weighed 362kg - 417kg to av 385kg full. Aug / Sep drop 24, they have used Chiltern Park Angus genetics for the past 5 years, based on banquet bld before that. The steers have performed exceptionally well over the past 4 months and the farm manager has done a top job. Before weaning the cows were fed 4 times per week vetch hay, silage and almond hull. Weaned in early April they have been fed every day, receiving Almond hulls, silage, vetch hay and straw. At the start of July they were moved onto a Kale crop whilst maintaining the supplementary feeding. They are in forward condition though some are just starting to build frame and plain off a little. High quality steers that would should a back grounder or go straight into a feedlot.
