Assessor Comments
Offering a b-double load of Angus x Angus feeder steers representing the tops of the draft of over 300 head. These steers were purchased in for a winter trade and have been living on improved ryegrass based pastures and averaging over 1 kg/hd/day since their last weigh. 100% weighed 410kg plus after a 5 hour curfew. They are presenting soft in the coat and starting to lay fat cover and are noticeably on the do as the season approaches spring. At time of purchasing vendor was able to secure mainly tops of the drop lines of breeders cattle predominantly out of the New England. The larger drafts were sourced off McGrath Cattle Co, Stockbridge Australia, PG and LG Wright, DJ and KM McCulloch and EJ McTaggart. They were secured early following the break in the season and have not had a set back. They received a 5 in 1 vaccination an MH + IBR and a clean out drench at induction onto the property. Vendor is presenting the successful purchaser the offer of another b-double representing the second draft of the line for delivery in 1 months time. To be offered at the same cents per kg price and conducted under Auctionsplus terms and conditions, with a delivery weight expected to be similar to what is offered today. A quality line of feeder steers primed for feedlot entry and will be running as one until delivery.
