Exceptional cattle to handle throughout the yards and crush with 94% walking on and off without any fuss or urgency at all. It is a credit that weaners still on the cows could be so calm and easy to manage. Some of the steers are a little eager off the scales yet not aggressive. When taking photos they are inquisitive and calm - only 1 steer marching around - the cows were just outside in a cooler yet the calves showed little anxiety or silliness that weaners can show.

Assessor Comments
The "Loongana" cattle are very well respected and known for quality, performance and temperament. Sires purchased in recent years have been generally in the lead of most sale catalogues. Very clean and tidy around the head, fresh condition and showing great bone, length & depth. 2 heavier steers are 2 months older than the main drop. 3 brindle & 5 higher content Brahman steers by a good quality Red Brahman Samari Plains bull whilst on agistment. Buyers are expected to take into consideration the cattle will be weaned onto the truck and consider any additional adjustments or allowances for perceived shrinkage due to weaning and transport after arrival. They have had minimal handling to date however have a natural quiet disposition. They have been on excellent feed and not seen any setback at any stage. They will remain on the cows until delivery & basically weaned onto the truck.
