Assessor Comments
A very neat line of angus heifers that have been weighed to a very tight weight range to 315 to 360 kg, weighed full. They will make a great line of future breeders, or equally suited to backgrounding for a feedlot. They are Spring 2024 drops, and were purchased as as quality calves from the Adelaide Hills and the Southeast. They have been handled extensively, and continually rotated throughout the paddocks. They are docile in the paddock, and come right up to the vehicle. They generally handled well in the yards, but a handful did stir up in the crush, when weighing. There is a second line of heifers in this same sale, being the next weight bracket up.. Both lines will be delivered to the Strathalbyn saleyards to meet b-doubles. Semi access only on property. Quite a number of these heifers are showing signs of warts and old ringworm around the head and neck area. They are not considered detrimental to the performance of the animal.
