Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Heifers were good to handle in the yards & crush, most stood well in the crush while being assessed. When back together in a large yard they were quite unsettled, one heifer would lead quickly and the rest followed close behind when being photographed. The size of the yard and the winds at assessment may have contributed to their temperament. Heifers will be kept in a holding yard and worked through the yards up until delivery.

Assessor Comments
A small line of backgrounder heifers, mostly medium to large framed with one heifer small framed. Heifers are out of Hereford & Hereford cross cows over a Brangus paddock bull. Yard weaned in February, heifers will be kept in a holding yard on Lucerne hay up until delivery and worked through the yards. No heifers are being retained so the top 60% have the potential to make very good quality future breeders. Please note Buffalo fly were present on the cattle at assessment. Located just 2km off the Cunningham Highway, 5km East of Yelarbon. Note same vendor also has the brothers of these heifers in same sale.
