These steers were very easy to move and worked very well through the yards. Small % got slightly agitated in the pound and crush. They all settled nicely once back in a mob together.

90 DROUGHTMASTER BACKGROUNDER STEERS. 3 DECKS OF STEERS THAT ARE SET UP TO FEED ON EIRTHER GRASS OR GRAIN. THESE STEERS SHOW GOOD WEIGHT FOR AGE, WITH GOOD BONE, FRAME & EVEN MUSCLING. THESE STEER WERE PURCHASED FROM "BUSHY PARK" MT ISA & ARE WELL BRED DROUGHTMASTER STEERS. THERE ARE 18 VENDOR BRED STEERS IN THE LOT BRED OUT OF THE "HERBERTVALE" HERD USING GLENLANDS BULLS FOR 20+ YEARS. THEY WEIGHED 300KG TO 418KG & AVERAGED 351KG AT ASSESSMENT AFTER AN OVERNIGHT WET CURFEW. THESE STEERS HAVE HAD AN AVERAGE DAILY WIGHT GAIN OF 0.20KG SINCE THE 04/07/25 & WILL CONTINUE GOING AHEAD ON GOOD PASTURE. PLEASE NOTE DELIVERY IS ON FARM 60KM SOUTH OF HUGHENDEN WITH 6KM OF BLACK SOIL ROAD SO DELIVERY IS WEATHER DEPENDENT. THESE STEERS ARE FROM A PRICKLY ACIACA FREE PROPERTY & ARE IN A TICK FREE AREA.
