Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Steers were excellent to handle in all areas of the yards. They displayed a calm disposition out in the bigger yard while being photographed and evident in the video. There were the usual small percentage that did resent being in the crush but settled very quickly once let out and back into the mob. Buyer is urged to allow these time to settle on arrival before showing them the gate.

Assessor Comments
Buyers here is an attractive lot of steers for your competition. These have presented pretty well considering the dry seasonal conditions and most are doing well on the supplementary pellets so all things considered they do show good growth and weight for age. The weighing indicator did show a range of weight gain, some putting on plenty and some marking time. They are running on lighter country so I would envisage these to gain weight quickly on heavy country provided there is feed for them. These will suit domestic feedlots or to take to heavier export feedlot entry weights. They are accustomed to putting their head in a bin so they should adapt quickly in a feedlot scenario. These have been drafted into a tight weight range being 293-361kgs full. Steers that have some Brangus content do show some minor hump and sheath (approx. 10 head). All steers look to be very healthy with no eye issues. A feature was their temperament, generally very good to handle in all areas of the yards.

Vendor Comments
These steers represent a normal turnoff. There were lighter steers retained to gain more weight before selling. Two steers show minor male characteristics from maybe being cut a little bit later but they have definitely do not have stones.
