A mostly good to very good quality line of vendor bred yearling heifers. They are mostly medium frame (52%) with 31% large farme and 17% small framed heifers. The small 6% fair quality heifers in the line lacked a little muscling and were a little finer boned. The breeding program at this property for the past six years has focussed on producing more moderate sized females and these heifers are sired by Pharo Angus bulls. There is also a small herd of Santa cows on the property and there are two Santa heifers in this line. They suit to take and grow out to the heavy end of domestic feeder weights and then crop, pasture or grain finish for a range of high quality MSA slaughter markets. They are Grassland accredited and have not had access to grain or cotton seed. They were excellent to handle in the yards and through the crush and have been educatated using Low Stress Stock Handling techniques. They have been on oats since the start of August and are doing very well.

Sired by Pharo Angus bulls over a cow base that had Angus genetics from Tex Angus and then Sandon Glenoch Angus studs and a few Santa cows. The recent breeding program at Coorangyi has focused on producing a more moderate sized breeding female.

Yard weaned in early March. Since then they have been on subtropical improved pastures and then onto good oats from 03/08/2026.
