Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Handled well while on their mothers and once drafted off flowed through the yard calmly. In a big yard they are still fresh however with handling up to delivery they will settle much more, they are quiet calm cattle by breeding- no bad tempered cattle tolerated in breeder herd.

Assessor Comments
Backgrounders these Steers need no introduction to the industry, they are bred by big boned, long, thick sires and out of a very functional large and medium framed cow herd, while being bred in Tordoned forest country. These steers are bred to perform by using great sires from Dangarfield Santa, horned Herefords from Sowden Farms and locally sourced Shorthorn sires. This is the lead / oldest of the steer crop being offered here and show plenty of growth for age, bone, softness and temperament. These yard weaned steers are EU Accredited and PCAS eligible, there’s plenty of frame showing in these steers and they’re sure to grow out to solid trade or export feeder or slaughter weights. These weaners will be plunge dipped in a Tixafly dip prior to delivery. And I suggest they be loaded over 2.5 or more decks. This vendor also has 30 weaner heifers in same sale to make a neat 3 decks. I highly recommend this line of steers.
