Comment on Fat Score 1 Cattle
Heifers are fit to travel up to 800 km from Kilterry in one lift. A 12 hour spell is recommended at 800 km. Best transport practices encouraged. Heifers were strong in yards at assessment however have light fat cover and are in store condition and would not recommend travelling further than 800km in 1 lift.

Generally good temperament. Majority quiet & good to handle both in and out of yards. Exposed to helicopter/Plane but mainly mustered with motorbikes. All settle down after being handled in the yards. These heifers are generally quiet and a pleasure to handle using appropriate handling techniques.

3 decks of good quality Santa Heifers Preg-tested Empty by Non Vet Contractor at assessment Jana Saunders and ready to take through as feed on heifers or join to the bull of your choice.
Heifers are in a light store condition with feed having turned in the last 60 days with low levels of protein, heifers had also been in the yards for 3 days at assessment and offer significant compensatory gains from assessed weights.
Heifers are ideal to take forward as future breeders or grow them out to feed on weights.
Heifers are in a ticky area and had visible tick at assessment having been pre-treated with Iverlab Pour on the day before, vendor will give these heifers a second treatment prior to delivery and heifers would be expected to clear on the first dip after this however no guarantees are made.
90% reds with a small percentage of composite type heifers being black or showing some Brindle/Tan.
Heifers are predominately in a tight 70kg weight range with only a handful of heavier heifers, weight breakup is 52% 290-320kgs, 40% 320-350kgs and 8% 350kg+.
Heifers are unmouthed due to catch breaking on the headbail however a small sample of the PTIC mob was mouthed being all milk tooth and would expect these heifers to also be milk and 2 tooth.

Grazing Conditions
Good body of hayed off Mitchell, Flinders & Buffel grass on heavy black soil downs. Protein value in the grass has reduced significantly in the last 2 months with these heifers offering plenty of compensatory gain.
