Good to handle through the Yards. A few Steers stirred up in the race but settled down when let out with the others. Steers have been round yard drafted.

168 VGQ HGP Free Crossbred Steers that are all Vendor Bred with the exception of 3 head (purchased as Calves on Cows). Majority Exhibit Very Good Bone, Length, Depth and Frame for their age. These Steers will grow into VGQ Heavy Feeders or Bullocks suitable for Domestic & Export Markets. They are quiet, have tidy heads, good feet & are from a Highly Regarded Herd. Weighed after 18 hours off feed & water, take note of the compensatory weight gain on offer as well as the weight range, with 6% under 313kg & 9% over 417kg. None of the heavier Steers were mouthed at assessment but it would be a surprise if anything was cutting teeth. Steers were running in a paddock with some Prickly Acacia, however it was not in seed & are now in a clean paddock so no problems there. Steers are PCAS Eligible.
