Assessor Comments
Buyers a line of yearling heifers that are no longer required for further breeding purposes and are EU ACCREDITED and ORGANIC CERTIFIED. These had a walk of approx. 6kms to the yards the day prior to assessment and had an overnight wet curfew but definitely no hay. I would expect these heifers would suit to background up to heavier domestic feeder entry weights off oats. They have had no grain or antibiotics at any stage and a declaration is available to make them PCAS ELIGIBLE if buyers wished to take them to heavier grassfed trade slaughter specs. They could be retained as future breeders in an organic program. Note one heifer did have an NLIS tag missing and due to no white tags available an orange post breeder tag was used however she is definitely lifetime traceable. Vendor has elected to scan and transfer tags due to being an EU producer for peace of mind. Note there is also a B-Double load of steers in the sale and all up both lots would fit on a 4.5 deck trucking unit.

These are part of an annual sell off. Vendor has selected most the heifers with more Brangus influence as replacement breeders so consequently there is a large percentage of straighter Angus types in this sale lot.
