Heifers were very easy to handle throughout assessment. Brought up from the back yard by a single handler, led up the race well and were mostly very well behaved on the scales. Some heifers were just a bit anxious in the crush, not helped by the shiny, noisy, aluminium scales. These heifers are listed above as slightly stirry/stirry. All heifers settled back down once out of the crush and back in the yard.

Assessor Comments
Davilak Pastoral run a closed herd of tightly held genetics, seldom offering any females to the open market, and this will be the first time that a lot of breeders this size has ever been presented for sale. Davilak is best known for presenting some 800+ steers at the Premier January weaner sales in Wangaratta/Wodonga. Steers that always present in impeccable order, showing exceptional length & growth at just 10-11mths, and a being keenly sought after by repeat local purchasers, and bullock fatteners from the North. Due to the tightness of the season in the North East, these females are being offered for sale to free up some paddocks going in to Summer/Autumn. These females have all the length & depth that the Davilak cattle are renowned for and will handle any task thrown at them, be it breed or fatten. A genuine opportunity to secure some very tightly held genetics that’s never before been presented. Buyers please Note. Vendor has another 39 Heifers in the seconds (365kg-399kg)
